BENEFICIARY

The DAYL Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization in Dallas that has a history of giving back.  Since it became a granting body in 1999, the DAYL Foundation has given over $230,000 in grants to local non-profit organizations that support legal education, legal aid, and other law and justice-related causes. In past years, the DAYL Foundation has relied primarily on contributions from its Fellows to fund its charitable endeavors. Since being named the beneficiary of the DAYL Charity Ball, the DAYL Foundation has been able to give out a record amount of grants, both numerically and monetarily.

In 2008, the DAYL Foundation began supporting local law students who have shown a commitment to public service by awarding them with a partial scholarship to help with law school expenses. Though the Alexander Bolton Law Student Scholarship Program, the DAYL Foundation awards one scholarship to a student from SMU Dedman School of Law, Texas A&M School of Law and, beginning in 2015, University of North Texas Dallas College of Law.
